On the 8th of April 2021 The Dormansland Diamonds became a registered charity (registered under number 1194028) as we have chosen to continue to support our community beyond the pandemic.
We will continue to support the community within the parish of Dormansland and nearby communities who require our assistance, working alongside the council and trustees. It is also our intention to help and support wider organisations who are also supporting our community.
The Dormansland Diamonds was set up in the aftermath of the Covid 19 lockdown. While it originally was set up to last until October, thanks to the support of the community and due to Covid 19 restrictions and lockdown still effecting the community, it will continue to help.
The work of everyone associated with the Dormansland Diamonds has been amazing, awesome and also humbling as neighbour has helped neighbour, new friends have been made and something good has been created from an economic and social disaster.
The past is full of sadness and the future of anxiety; in my sunlit garden I have the joy of the present.’
Winston Churchill Lullenden Manor Dormansland May 1917
