The Dormansland Diamonds is an unincorporated association and was set up in the aftermath of the Covid 19 lockdown.
It holds funds on behalf of residents to manage a private food bank and resilience for those who reside in the Parish. Its aim is to support residents up until the end of October, when the money runs out or when the support is no longer needed (depending upon which event occurs first).
The work of everyone associated with the Dormansland Diamonds has been amazing, awesome and also humbling as neighbour has helped neighbour, new friends have been made and something good has been created from an economic and social disaster.
The past is full of sadness and the future of anxiety; in my sunlit garden I have the joy of the present.’
Winston Churchill Lullenden Manor Dormansland May 1917
